Role Summary
This remote AI Solution Architect position focuses on designing and implementing advanced AI and machine learning solutions within cloud infrastructure environments. The role involves leading architecture decisions throughout the full solution lifecycle, from initial discovery to operationalization and continuous enhancement. The candidate serves as a trusted technical advisor to clients and collaborates across teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient AI integrations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design of AI/ML architectures, including generative AI, conversational AI, and large-scale inference pipelines.
- Develop reference architectures and reusable design patterns for AI solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Evaluate and select suitable AI frameworks, foundation models, vector databases, and orchestration tools based on project requirements.
- Incorporate security, privacy, and governance controls at every architectural layer, including data ingestion, model serving, and user interfaces.
- Architect role-based and attribute-based access controls, ensuring compliance with data residency, PII/PHI handling, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct threat modeling, security reviews, and vulnerability assessments specific to AI systems, including LLM attack surfaces.
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant solutions capable of handling enterprise-level data volumes with optimized latency and throughput.
- Develop cost-efficient architectures utilizing compute resources, storage options, and managed services with embedded FinOps practices.
- Recommend and guide the selection of AI/ML platforms, cloud providers, and managed AI services based on technical and financial considerations.
- Design integration patterns connecting AI components to enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, data warehouses, and real-time data streams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in AI and machine learning architecture design, with strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Expertise in developing and deploying large-scale AI/ML solutions, including generative AI, multimodal models, and inference pipelines.
- Familiarity with security, privacy, and governance best practices for AI systems, including threat modeling and compliance standards.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture, including APIs, event-driven pipelines, and data integration methods.
- Experience working with AI frameworks, foundation models, vector databases, and orchestration tools.
- Ability to evaluate and recommend AI tools, cloud services, and vendor solutions tailored to client needs.
- Excellent communication skills for advising clients and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Availability to work remotely with reliable internet access and flexible working hours.

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 – $57.00 Hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
