Role Summary
This mid to senior-level Object Storage Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-grade storage solutions tailored for financial services clients. The role involves leading technical projects, managing complex storage environments, and implementing scalable storage infrastructures. Candidates will collaborate across teams to optimize storage solutions and enhance operational efficiency through automation and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support object storage solutions such as NetApp StorageGRID, Dell ECS, PURE FlashBlade, and Everpure.
  • Provide Level 3 support for object storage issues, including troubleshooting performance and capacity challenges.
  • Conduct system performance analysis, sizing, and capacity planning for storage environments.
  • Lead and contribute to large-scale storage infrastructure refreshes, migrations, and upgrade projects.
  • Develop and document platform standards, operational procedures, and storage build guides.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design storage solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Create automation workflows and optimize processes using scripting tools like Python and Ansible.
  • Perform technology certifications and contribute to defining platform and system standards.
  • Manage storage provisioning and management using tools such as Cyberduck, S3 APIs, and AWS CLI.
  • Ensure data protection and security measures, including object lock configuration and data integrity protocols.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with object storage technologies, including NetApp StorageGRID, Dell ECS, PURE FlashBlade, or similar platforms.
  • Proven knowledge of S3 protocol, storage virtualization, and on-prem server infrastructure deployments.
  • Skilled in storage management tools like Cyberduck, S3 APIs, and AWS CLI.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience related to storage performance and conversion between protocols such as CAS-S3.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Python and automation frameworks like Ansible.
  • Ability to analyze capacity requirements and design scalable storage environments.
  • Familiarity with data protection technologies such as object lock and data replication.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to lead complex projects independently.
  • Available to work in a hybrid environment, combining remote work with onsite presence as required.

Publishing Pay Range: $55.13 – $57.92 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
