Role Summary
A Full Stack Java Developer with Oracle experience is sought for a fully remote role supporting application development and maintenance for government projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive Java expertise, including full stack development, and have the ability to obtain a USPS Public Trust clearance or hold an active Secret clearance. This position requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 7 years in Java development and 3 years in full stack roles, capable of collaborating across teams and implementing modern development practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based web applications, batch processes, and support tools in a full stack environment.
- Design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs and web pages using technologies such as Struts, JSP, HTML, jQuery, CSS, and JSON.
- Develop and modify Oracle database queries, utilizing Hibernate within the Spring Framework.
- Participate in test automation for unit, functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure application quality.
- Implement automation within CICD pipelines using Jenkins and integrate testing tools like Playwright.
- Collaborate within an Agile environment utilizing tools such as Version One for project management.
- Contribute to migration initiatives by leveraging new technologies and best practices.
- Work with Kubernetes, micro-services architecture, and Kafka for event-driven application development.
- Follow version control best practices, primarily GIT, to manage codebases efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and support system integration efforts.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of Java application development experience, including 3 years of full stack development.
- Proven experience developing Java applications, web-based and batch processes, with support and troubleshooting skills.
- Expertise in Oracle database query development, Hibernate, and Spring Framework.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API development and modern web technologies (Struts, JSP, HTML, jQuery, CSS, JSON).
- Experience with Kubernetes, micro-services, Kafka, and event-driven architecture.
- Skilled in test automation, CICD processes, and tools such as Jenkins and Playwright.
- Proficient with version control systems, especially GIT, and familiar with migration technologies.
- This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Publishing Pay Range: $45.00 – $50.00 Hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
