Role Summary
This is a direct-hire, on-site Supply Chain management role focused on IT hardware and software procurement within a corporate environment. The successful candidate will develop and execute enterprise-wide sourcing strategies, optimize supplier partnerships, and ensure compliance with federal procurement regulations. This position requires strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives to drive value and efficiency across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Analyze historical spend, future business forecasts, and customer requirements to understand enterprise demand across IT hardware, software, SaaS, maintenance, and support services.
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies that leverage total demand, promote scalable sourcing solutions, and maximize organizational value.
- Establish and maintain strategic supplier partnerships with OEMs, distributors, and resellers aligned with category strategies and business needs.
- Negotiate, establish, and manage FAR-compliant enterprise agreements for use across the organization.
- Oversee assigned categories through long-term strategic planning, continuous market analysis, and supplier performance management to deliver sustained value.
- Communicate sourcing strategies, preferred vendors, and enterprise agreements to procurement teams and business stakeholders.
- Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on utilizing enterprise agreements, applying sourcing strategies, and engaging with preferred partners.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, including adherence to agreements, pricing competitiveness, and fulfillment reliability.
- Regularly update category strategies based on market trends, supplier performance data, and evolving business requirements.
- Drive continuous improvements in procurement processes, supplier relationships, and automation tools to enhance leverage, efficiency, and business outcomes.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree with at least 6 years of experience in supply chain management, business management, or related fields; additional work experience may substitute for a degree.
- Extensive experience managing IT hardware, software licensing, SaaS agreements, maintenance, support, and reseller relationships.
- Proven ability to develop category strategies, sourcing plans, savings pipelines, and executive-level business cases.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement regulations, compliance standards, and government operations.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into effective sourcing actions.
- Experience utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) tools for automation, market intelligence, or procurement decision-making is preferred.
- Demonstrated negotiation and strategic relationship management skills with suppliers.
- Excellent project management abilities, capable of leading multiple initiatives simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with procurement software (such as Cost Point, Ivalua), data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed environment and adapt to changing business needs.
Publishing Pay Range: $135,000.00 – $140,000.00 annually
This is a fully on-site role and can be performed from an approved location.
