Role Summary
This position involves providing comprehensive technical support, maintenance, and installation services within a dynamic field environment. The role requires hands-on expertise in hardware and software troubleshooting, network configuration, and communication technology management. The incumbent will deliver high-quality service to clients, ensuring optimal operation of diverse IT systems and networks.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, installation, and upgrades on Windows 10 systems and desktop software, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Provide network support, including LAN/WAN configuration, cable installation (Cat5, Cat6, Fiber), and network communications troubleshooting.
- Rack and stack equipment in technical environments to ensure system integrity and functionality.
- Maintain and support communication technologies such as Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti radios.
- Support mobile device enrollment, application deployment, and updates on iOS platforms.
- Manage Active Directory user and computer objects and implement basic Group Policy configurations.
- Document technical processes, incident reports, and maintenance activities accurately within service management systems.
- Facilitate communication with clients and team members regarding technical issues and solutions.
- Utilize rental vehicles for daily travel within West Texas, including overnight stays when required.
- Maintain compliance with safety and operational procedures in technical environments.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in field technical support, network installation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and software troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated capability in hardware installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, cable installation, and network communications.
- Knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti radio technologies is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM/Intune, Citrix, and Active Directory concepts is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate rental vehicles.
- Ability to travel daily within West Texas, with flexibility for overnight stays.
- Available to work on-site in Midland, TX.
Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 – $35.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
