Role Summary
This position involves supporting the development and maintenance of design tool infrastructure for system product designs across a variety of applications, including supercomputers, autonomous vehicles, and consumer gaming platforms. The role requires collaboration with global design teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in mechanical CAD data and digital twin integration. Candidates will contribute to streamlining hardware product development processes through CAD data management and support.
Responsibilities
- Match the bill-of-materials (BOM) of datacenter system products to corresponding mechanical CAD files.
- Collaborate with mechanical designers to verify the accuracy and consistency of BOM-to-CAD associations.
- Work with the digital twin team to provide CAD data for conversion into digital replicas of physical systems.
- Review and navigate mechanical CAD data to facilitate design validation and troubleshooting.
- Support system designers by delivering timely, innovative solutions for CAD and digital twin data management.
- Assist in the integration of CAD data within enterprise engineering tools and PLM systems.
- Contribute to the improvement of design tool infrastructure to enhance efficiency and accuracy in product development.
- Communicate technical requirements and findings effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of CAD data, workflows, and system configurations.
- Support the hardware product lifecycle from conceptual design through to mass production.
Qualifications
- BSEE, CS, or an equivalent diploma with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of mechanical parts, assemblies, and CAD software as a viewing and data management tool.
- Experience working with mechanical design data and associated documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong communication and documentation skills.
- Proven ability to support engineering teams with creative, timely solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones and collaborate with global teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the hardware product development lifecycle (PDLC).
- Strong technical foundation in enterprise-level engineering tools, such as Dassault, Cadence, PTC, or similar platforms.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to complex concepts and workflows.
Publishing Pay Range: $39.72 – $40.93 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
