Role Summary
This position involves supporting the installation, maintenance, and management of high-performance computing hardware within a data center environment. The role requires expertise in rack, stack, and cable management for servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems. It is a technical, detail-oriented position suited for individuals comfortable working in fast-paced, mission-critical data center settings with a focus on safety and precision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rack, stack, and cable installation for servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems.
  • Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and ensure proper airflow and cable management.
  • Connect and verify power, fiber, and copper network cabling according to data center standards.
  • Assist with hardware moves, adds, and changes (MACs) across data center floors.
  • Follow detailed deployment runbooks and engineering documentation during setup and maintenance.
  • Conduct basic hardware validation, LED/port checks, and physical troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking, labeling, and documentation in internal systems.
  • Collaborate with data center engineers and network teams during deployments and migrations.
  • Adhere strictly to ESD, safety, and security protocols in all tasks.
  • Support decommissioning and removal of end-of-life hardware as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on data center experience performing rack and stack activities.
  • Strong understanding of server and network rack layouts and structured cabling (fiber & copper).
  • Familiarity with power distribution units (PDUs) and enterprise server installation (Dell, HPE, Supermicro, or similar).
  • Ability to read rack elevation diagrams and deployment instructions with accuracy.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined rack environments.
  • Knowledge of ESD procedures and safe handling of sensitive hardware.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Comfortable working in high-density, GPU-rich data centers and high-performance computing environments is a plus.
  • Exposure to hot/cold aisle containment and large-scale hardware refreshes or migrations is preferred.
  • Basic Linux familiarity is helpful but not required.

Publishing Pay Range: $40.00 – 42.64 hourly
Location: Onsite

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
