Job Description:
Our client is hiring a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role involves analyzing complex datasets to derive valuable insights that inform decision-making processes across various business functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and programming, enabling them to clean, organize, and interpret data effectively. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to identify business challenges, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate findings. This position offers the opportunity to work on projects supporting a federal client, requiring adherence to federal regulations, including drug screening. The role is pivotal in enhancing our manufacturing outcomes through advanced data analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect, categorize, and analyze data from various sources to drive insights and inform business decisions.
  • Create, validate, test, and update algorithms and models to support predictive analytics and optimization efforts.
  • Utilize data visualization software to effectively present findings to stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Make business recommendations based on data analysis, coordinating with stakeholders to identify needs and develop solutions.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques to continuously improve data analysis processes.
  • Use predictive modeling to enhance customer experiences, operational efficiency, and other key business outcomes.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor the outcomes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged to improve manufacturing outcomes and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property.
  • Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis, with the ability to apply these skills to solve complex problems.
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud platform, demonstrating the ability to leverage cloud resources for data analysis and storage.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.) and experience with their applications.
  • Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling, with proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, PowerQuery, ML tools, and programming languages (e.g., Java/Python, SAS).
  • Preferred certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) I level (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • DoD or Federal Government industry experience.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with stakeholders and functional teams effectively.
