Our client is hiring a highly skilled and experienced SD-WAN Engineer to join our dynamic team in Aberdeen, MD. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining consultative/trusted advisor relationships with clients, performing problem analysis, and acting as a technical specialist for complex deployments. The successful candidate will possess strong technical project management skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to influence at senior levels within client organizations. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects and contribute to virtual teams across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems.
- Build simulated networks in test labs to resolve problems and compatibility issues.
- Contribute to Virtual Teams across the organization.
- Provide ad hoc systems/product knowledge transfers to team members and clients.
- Assist in the generation of standard project documentation, including test plans.
- Generate network configurations from Low Level Design for project delivery.
- Assist in network staging, implementation, and handover as part of project delivery.
- Support Network Upgrade and Migration Activities, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on SD-WAN, R/S, and Data Center technologies.
- Possess a CCNP certification or a CCNA Enterprise. CCIE certification is highly desirable or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Ability to adapt to different customer needs and environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong client-facing experience.
- Proven technical project management skills.
- Strong knowledge of SD-WAN technology and related Network Management Systems.
- Leadership and mentoring skills to guide teams and influence client and Cisco senior management.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet project requirements and client needs.
