Role Summary
This fully remote Business Analyst role focuses on gathering, defining, and documenting clear, detailed requirements across multiple software initiatives. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, QA, and technical teams to ensure business needs are translated into actionable, testable requirements. While some light coordination across workstreams is involved, the core emphasis is on requirements clarity, completeness, and alignment throughout the SDLC.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements for software initiatives
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure requirements are complete, unambiguous, and ready for development
  • Facilitate requirements clarification sessions and identify gaps or missing details
  • Partner with technical teams on feasibility, dependencies, and implementation alignment
  • Support QA by defining test scenarios and validating coverage against requirements
  • Assist with UAT coordination and issue resolution
  • Track progress across initiatives to ensure alignment between scope and delivery
  • Support defect clarification and ensure expected outcomes are well understood
  • Communicate requirement updates and changes to stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Support backlog refinement and sprint planning through well-defined requirements
  • Respond to stakeholder questions by translating needs into actionable requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Business Analyst in software or systems implementation projects
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping
  • Ability to break down complex problems into clear, structured requirements
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience working with QA and supporting test case definition
  • Familiarity with Agile environments is preferred
  • SQL or data analysis skills are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in financial services is a plus but not required
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Publishing Pay Range: $90.00 – $105.00 hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
