Role Summary
This role involves supporting and maintaining enterprise server, storage, and network hardware within a data center environment. The technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and decommissioning hardware to ensure optimal data center operations. The position requires technical expertise in hardware deployment, diagnostics, and collaboration across multiple technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise server, storage, and network hardware components.
  • Perform advanced rack and stack activities, including rail installation, structured cabling, and power distribution.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware failures related to servers, GPUs, storage systems, and networking equipment.
  • Execute firmware updates, BIOS configuration modifications, hardware replacements, and system validation.
  • Support large-scale hardware deployments, including migrations, refreshes, and infrastructure expansion projects.
  • Monitor data center environment conditions and equipment health using DCIM and other monitoring tools.
  • Follow established operational procedures, change management processes, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, networking, facilities, logistics, and vendor teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Mentor junior technicians by providing technical guidance, training, and escalation support.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support maintenance outside standard hours when necessary.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise or hyperscale data center hardware.
  • Strong knowledge of x86 server architecture, GPU-based systems, storage platforms, and enterprise networking equipment.
  • Experience with rack and stack deployments, structured cabling, server diagnostics, and hardware repairs.
  • Familiarity with power distribution systems (PDUs) and remote management tools (iLO, iDRAC, IPMI, Redfish).
  • Understanding of Layer 1 and basic Layer 2 networking concepts, and the ability to interpret technical diagrams and documentation.
  • Basic experience with Linux operating systems and troubleshooting via command line.
  • Proficiency with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ITSM platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Relevant education, training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.

Publishing Pay Range: $46.00 – $49.00 Hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
