Role Summary

This position supports enterprise data center hardware and infrastructure, with a focus on the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and decommissioning of servers, storage systems, and network equipment. The role requires hands-on technical expertise in hardware deployment, diagnostics, and system validation within a large-scale data center environment. This position collaborates with cross-functional technical teams to support operational efficiency, infrastructure stability, and adherence to established safety and security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and decommission enterprise server, storage, and network hardware.
  • Perform advanced rack-and-stack activities, including rail installation, structured cabling, and hardware integration.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues involving servers, GPU-based systems, storage platforms, and networking equipment.
  • Perform firmware updates, BIOS configuration changes, hardware replacements, and system validation activities.
  • Support large-scale hardware deployments, upgrades, migrations, refreshes, and infrastructure expansion initiatives.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of infrastructure issues and implement or recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Monitor data center environmental conditions and equipment health using DCIM and other monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, networking, facilities, logistics, and vendor teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and escalation support to team members.
  • Follow established operational procedures, change management processes, safety requirements, security protocols, and documentation standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience supporting enterprise or large-scale data center environments.
  • Strong knowledge of x86 server architecture, GPU-based systems, storage platforms, and enterprise networking equipment.
  • Experience with rack-and-stack deployments, structured cabling, server diagnostics, hardware installation, and repair.
  • Familiarity with power distribution units (PDUs) and remote management technologies such as iLO, iDRAC, IPMI, or Redfish.
  • Working knowledge of Layer 1 and basic Layer 2 networking concepts, with the ability to interpret rack elevations, network diagrams, cable matrices, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and basic command-line troubleshooting.
  • Experience using ticketing or IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, or comparable tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.
  • Relevant education, technical training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.

Publishing Pay Range: $46.00 – $49.00 Hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
