We are seeking a Senior Grafana Dashboard Engineer with strong Python development experience to build, enhance, and troubleshoot Grafana dashboards supporting operational and executive reporting. This role is heavily focused on hands-on dashboard development, stakeholder collaboration, and translating complex data into actionable visualizations.
The ideal candidate has personally built Grafana dashboards from scratch, is comfortable troubleshooting live, and can extend existing Python ETL frameworks that process data from REST APIs and Kafka into time-series databases. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Grafana dashboards for operational and executive reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver intuitive, business-focused dashboards.
- Troubleshoot dashboard, query, and data issues while adapting solutions based on user feedback.
- Extend existing Python ETL frameworks with custom transformations, pagination, timestamp handling, and reusable utilities.
- Process data from REST APIs and Kafka into time-series databases (InfluxDB or similar).
- Validate sprint deliverables through Grafana dashboards in an Agile environment. Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience building Grafana dashboards from scratch.
- Experience customizing dashboards for different audiences and business needs.
- Strong Python development and ETL experience.
- Experience with REST APIs, Kafka, and time-series databases (InfluxDB preferred).
- Knowledge of data transformations, timestamp normalization, and pagination.
- Experience with Python multiprocessing is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills. What We’re Looking For
