Role Summary
The CCNP Network Engineer provides advanced network engineering support for enterprise-wide network refresh and modernization initiatives. This full-time, on-site position supports core and distributed network environments and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver network upgrades, migrations, configurations, and troubleshooting while maintaining network stability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide LAN and WAN support across enterprise and site-level network environments.
- Configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot switches and routers in accordance with established network standards and change management processes.
- Support site readiness assessments and coordinate pre- and post-cutover activities for network migrations and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, topologies, implementations, and changes.
- Support adherence to established network standards throughout refresh and migration activities.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Support network security protocols and monitor network performance and availability.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to coordinate network migrations, upgrades, and other infrastructure activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of network standards, processes, and technical documentation.
- Utilize network monitoring and diagnostic tools to support reliable network operations.
Qualifications
- Active Cisco CCNP Enterprise or comparable CCNP certification required.
- 5+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency with LAN/WAN technologies, including switching, routing, and WAN protocols.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches using IOS/IOS-XE.
- Experience supporting enterprise network refresh and migration initiatives, including cutover planning and implementation.
- Knowledge of enterprise network standards, change management processes, and technical documentation practices.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, distributed-site, or similar network environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and workstreams.
- Relevant education, training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.
- Availability to work on-site in Warren, Michigan, five days per week for the duration of the assignment.
Publishing Pay Range: $57.00 – $60.00 Hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
