Job Description:
Our client is hiring a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team, supporting a prestigious client in the public sector domain. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with a team of project managers and engineers dedicated to delivering innovative Cisco solutions for critical networks. The position is based in Virginia and will involve assisting with the centralized deployment of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) across major commands, with a focus on achieving compliance mandates. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career in network security within the public sector.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network security solutions using Cisco ISE to meet client requirements and compliance mandates.
  • Work collaboratively with a geographically dispersed team of project managers and engineers on critical networks.
  • Provide senior technical expertise in the planning, design, and optimization of network and architecture solutions.
  • Assist in the regionalized management of network security from headquarters to ensure progress towards compliance goals.
  • Engage in proof of concepts and introduction of new architectures and solutions to enhance network performance and security.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including requirements, network design, testing, and post-implementation sustainment.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts for all processes, methodologies, and services related to network security.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Network Security Engineer, with a strong background in Cisco ISE.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DOD) customers is preferred.
  • Proven ability to document requirements, network design, testing procedures, and post-implementation sustainment.
  • Strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to self-manage.
  • Exemplary command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, with a focus on Cyber Security, is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability in support of continuous improvement of all processes, methodologies, and services.
  • Understanding of Government contracting under the FAR/DFAR is advantageous.
