Role Summary

This role involves managing and maintaining Oracle WebLogic server environments to support a secure, mission-critical network infrastructure. The position requires detailed coordination with development and cybersecurity teams to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance of web and application servers. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting modernization efforts, including cloud migration and infrastructure resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain internal and external websites in collaboration with web development teams, ensuring content quality, links, and design consistency.
  • Install, configure, and oversee WebLogic server environments, including domains, managed servers, and clusters.
  • Monitor WebLogic server performance and perform tuning activities such as JVM optimization, connection pooling, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage security configurations for WebLogic, including LDAP authentication, SSL certificates, and user role permissions.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage J2EE applications on WebLogic servers, ensuring high availability, load balancing, and failover capabilities.
  • Implement security measures such as firewalls, message encryption, and access controls to protect web infrastructure.
  • Oversee internet and intranet services, including web servers, FTP servers, mail servers, and news systems.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on site performance metrics to optimize usability and user experience.
  • Conduct user testing, usability assessments, and implement improvements based on data analysis.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding site updates, outages, and issue resolutions while maintaining documentation of backup, recovery, and business continuity procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or related field with at least two years of professional experience; a Master’s Degree or PhD may substitute.
  • This position is subject to national security requirements under U.S. law. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance. (Active or Interim Secret Security Clearance).
  • Security+ certified or equivalent security credentials.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and managing WebLogic server environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, Linux/Unix, Windows OS, JVM tuning, and common networking protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP).
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Windows applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 – $34.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
