Join a dynamic team as a Senior Communications Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in designing and project managing advanced communications systems within our enterprise infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the integration of cutting-edge technologies—including wireless, voice, SCADA, badge access, satellite, microwave, CCTV, and data networks—ensuring seamless and reliable communication solutions across diverse environments. You will oversee contract personnel deployments, coordinate with multiple vendors, and uphold the highest standards of quality control for all system implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of comprehensive communication solutions integrating wireless, voice, SCADA, access control, satellite, microwave, CCTV, and data networks to meet organizational needs.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to gather detailed requirements and develop tailored technical designs.
  • Manage end-to-end deployment projects, including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors during system installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure project success.
  • Uphold strict quality assurance protocols, conducting thorough testing and validation of all deployed systems.
  • Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to field technicians and project teams.
  • Research emerging technologies to enhance system performance and propose innovative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures to support ongoing operations.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance related to FCC licensing and FAA administration for communication assets.
  • Generate and update technical standards documents to support consistent system implementation.
  • Maintain and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource planning.
  • Travel up to 50% to support project deployments, field troubleshooting, and vendor coordination, including offshore environments when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
  • PMP certification preferred; strong project management experience essential.
  • FCC license required; additional certifications such as CCNA are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing complex communication systems across at least three of the following domains: wireless, voice, SCADA, access control, satellite, microwave, CCTV, or data networks.
  • Proficiency with Visio, CAD, or similar tools for creating system diagrams.
  • Familiarity with communication path profile software and leveraging FCC ULS web tools is preferred.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors at all levels.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects independently while balancing support requests and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Physically capable of lifting moderate weights and maneuvering comfortably during on-site deployments, including kneeling, bending, and twisting.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and potentially offshore environments as required by projects.

Publishing Pay Range: $150,000.00 – $160,000.00 annually
