Role Summary
A software developer with a focus on Oracle applications and software development is needed to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of technical and business software systems. Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and enhance computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.
- Design, develop, code, test, and debug software applications using appropriate programming languages and tools.
- Collaborate with users to define system objectives, scope, and requirements for new or existing applications.
- Provide analytical support and technical advice during all phases of software development and implementation.
- Plan and schedule software development projects, including setting objectives, timelines, costs, and resource requirements.
- Review and evaluate system and software compliance with government or industry standards for safety and quality.
- Document hazard identification and mitigation measures within software systems using various analysis tools.
- Verify that design mitigations are integrated and properly documented throughout the development process.
- Evaluate code for validity, industry standards, and device compatibility; address issues uncovered during testing and customer feedback.
- Lead or participate in project teams, instructing and monitoring the work of other developers or analysts as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience with a BS/BA degree; 3 years with an MS/MBA.
- This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, APEX, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in software design, development, testing, and debugging within a government or commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of safety analysis, hazard documentation, and compliance standards.
- Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Availability to work within a flexible schedule as required.
Publishing Pay Range: $41.00 – $46.00 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
