Role Summary
This is a senior-level software development position supporting government projects that require active DoD Secret clearance. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based applications within a fast-paced Agile environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with project requirements and government standards. This remote position requires the candidate to be based in the United States.
This position is subject to national security requirements under U.S. law. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technical solutions for complex software problems within the software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Deployment methodologies.
  • Support the development and sustainment of cloud-based environments, including AWS infrastructure and services.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document application software according to project specifications.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate cloud capabilities and COTS software into project solutions.
  • Analyze user requirements and software specifications to determine feasibility, performance, and cost-effectiveness of designs.
  • Coordinate software testing, deployment, and integration activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Assist Scrum teams and provide technical expertise to support contract deliverables and project milestones.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and quality control efforts throughout all phases of software development.
  • Provide technical guidance to senior leadership and support compliance with government and corporate policies.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through adherence to best practices in software development and project execution.

Qualifications

  • Active/current fully adjudicated DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10–12 years of relevant experience, or High School diploma with 14 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS, including familiarity with AWS GovCloud and native services.
  • Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
  • Proficiency with React, Module Federation, Micro Front Ends (MFE), and component library development.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Node.js APIs, and API gateways using Java and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with backend data integration and SQL database connectivity.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and DoD DevSecOps practices.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker, Fargate, EKS, and NGINX.
  • Understanding of XML payload manipulation and XSD schemas.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • Experience working within an Agile and Scrum environment.
  • Optional skills include SonarQube, Postman, Swagger, and code vulnerability scanning.
  • Certifications such as AWS Developer Associate, DoD 8570 IAT Level II, and Sec+ are preferred; candidate should obtain necessary certifications within a reasonable timeframe.

Publishing Pay Range: $65.00 – $70.00 hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
