Job Description:
GDH Consulting is hiring a highly motivated and skilled Training Instructor to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in assessing training needs, developing curriculum, and delivering comprehensive training programs to our locomotive facility staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical and administrative education, with a focus on various computer applications relevant to the industry. This position requires extensive on-site presence and the flexibility to travel for up to two weeks at a time. As a Training Instructor, you will play a critical role in enhancing the skills and competencies of our employees, contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess individual and group training needs through comprehensive analysis and evaluation.
  • Plan, prepare, and research lessons tailored to meet the specific requirements of the locomotive facility staff.
  • Teach and mentor staff in the use of various computer applications (e.g., LMUI, Nexus, SAP, RPM) essential for their roles.
  • Organize and promote courses to ensure maximum participation and engagement from the target audience.
  • Develop and deliver a structured course curriculum that meets the learning objectives and outcomes.
  • Provide individual and group contact time, offering support, guidance, and feedback to enhance learning experiences.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor employees' progress, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Compile and present status progress reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for further development.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in delivering training or courses in an industrial or factory setting.
  • Strong foundational knowledge about locomotives and related technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with client groups and unions.
  • Advanced administrative, management, and leadership skills.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical and technical skills, with a proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • The ability to motivate others and maintain a patient and friendly approach to teaching.
  • Must be able to travel for up to two weeks at a time and hold a valid driver's license.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and management skills with a proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office for creating and updating reports.
