Role Summary
This position involves performing quality engineering and testing functions within a financial services environment. The role requires executing and validating regression test scenarios, ensuring comprehensive test coverage of standard workflows, edge cases, and high-risk scenarios. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve defects, supporting continuous improvement in testing processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regression test scenarios based on established test cases.
- Ensure test coverage across standard workflows, edge cases, and high-risk scenarios.
- Use realistic test data to validate system behavior and minimize false positives.
- Execute test cases following operational workflows and procedures.
- Validate end-to-end processing, confirming accurate data flow across systems.
- Verify data accuracy, field mappings, and formatting consistency.
- Document defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and supporting evidence.
- Collaborate with IT, Product, and Operations teams to triage issues and support defect resolution.
- Maintain detailed testing logs, including execution results, pass/fail outcomes, and retest cycles.
- Track defect trends and communicate testing status, risks, and severity to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience supporting UAT and regression testing in production-impacting environments.
- Knowledge of quality engineering practices, including test planning, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
- 3–5+ years of experience in bank operations, wealth management, or related financial services.
- Strong understanding of client onboarding, account maintenance, and transaction processing workflows.
- Experience validating data across multiple systems and troubleshooting data integrity issues.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and partner with developers to validate fixes.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, workflows, and business processes.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working across IT, Product, and Operations teams.
Publishing Pay Range: $28.00 to $31.64 hourly
This is a fully on-site role and can be performed from an approved location.
