Role Summary
A lead software engineer is responsible for developing customized solutions using a diverse range of technologies. This role involves working within small, collaborative teams to address real business challenges in an agile environment, emphasizing people-first development. The position offers opportunities for career growth through mentorship and a defined career progression, with promotion eligibility every 12 months. The lead will oversee small team activities, mentor colleagues, and manage projects across the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead small teams in developing and implementing software solutions leveraging various technologies.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and develop tailored technical strategies.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems for Fortune-500 clients across multiple industries.
  • Manage projects end-to-end, including estimating, requirements collection, architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Explore and utilize cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud for building modern applications.
  • Develop data-driven solutions incorporating IoT, AI, machine learning, and DevOps practices using languages like Python, .NET, Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Employ web technologies such as React, Angular, Vue, and mobile tech for iOS and Android applications.
  • Strategically integrate AI tools to enhance client solutions, ensuring ethical and effective use while communicating value to stakeholders.
  • Present technical findings, solutions, and demos to executives and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate actively in continuous learning initiatives, community service, and social events within the organization.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Proven experience in technical leadership, including coaching or team management.
  • Client-facing or consulting experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solution delivery.
  • Adaptability to multiple responsibilities and varied project environments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired must verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Publishing Pay Range: $55.00 – $60.00 hourly

This is a hybrid role and can be performed from an approved location.
