Role Summary
This senior-level position involves designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing enterprise reporting solutions using SAP BusinessObjects platform. The role combines hands-on business intelligence (BI) development with platform administration responsibilities, supporting organizational data reporting and analytics needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure platform performance, security, and architectural integrity, contributing to efficient BI operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise reporting solutions, including WebI reports, Crystal Reports, and semantic layers.
- Optimize report performance through query tuning, data modeling, and analysis.
- Manage SAP BusinessObjects platform, including Central Management Server configuration and security settings.
- Design and maintain RBAC/security profiles and semantic layers using IDT and UDT tools.
- Perform platform administration tasks such as upgrades, patching, and resource management.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Architects to ensure alignment with data governance and architecture standards.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Shell.
- Manage cloud integrations, including AWS IAM roles, security policies, and external data warehouse connections.
- Monitor system performance and implement disaster recovery, backup, and failover strategies.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols, architectural standards, and Agile delivery practices.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience as a BI/ETL developer and at least 2 years of SAP BusinessObjects administration.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Extensive experience in SAP BusinessObjects platform management and development, including BI Launch Pad, RBAC/security, and semantic layer management.
- Deep understanding of SAP BusinessObjects architecture components such as CMS, Input/Output File Repository Servers, Processing Servers, and Connection Server.
- Hands-on expertise with IDT and UDT for semantic layer development across various data sources.
- Advanced SQL skills for complex query optimization, data transformation, and report tuning.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Shell to automate BI and database tasks.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud environments, IAM, security policies, and connecting BO to cloud data warehouses.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with diverse teams.

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 – $55.00 USD Hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from any approved location within the United States.
