Role Summary
This position requires a highly skilled SME Cloud Engineer with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing multi-cloud environments using Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role involves leading complex cloud engineering projects, developing automation workflows, and ensuring compliance with enterprise standards. The successful candidate will provide expert technical support, coordinate integration efforts, and contribute to maintaining secure and operational cloud infrastructures within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-cloud engineering projects, from planning to deployment, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture controls.
  • Develop and implement automated workflows and playbooks within Swimlane to optimize operational response and system mitigation.
  • Enhance system monitoring and logging across cloud platforms with advanced configuration, operational rules, and log tuning in Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Manage real-time endpoint visibility, policy enforcement, and asset control utilizing Tanium across hybrid infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support for cloud architecture controls, ensuring automation and integration of native cloud features in Azure and AWS.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for multi-cloud platforms.
  • Draft, review, and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, engineering patterns, and compliance frameworks such as ATO documentation.
  • Coordinate testing activities for cloud system integration and ensure all deployment and compliance documentation are finalized.
  • Manage change management processes related to infrastructure-as-code, cloud policies, and system updates.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new cloud applications, workloads, and resources by collaborating with infrastructure teams and operational units.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent technical background.
  • Proven certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
  • Demonstrated experience integrating and deploying Microsoft Sentinel and Swimlane within enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing Tanium for endpoint visibility and compliance monitoring.
  • Practical knowledge of ACAS for vulnerability management in cloud environments.
  • Expertise in configuring hybrid cloud infrastructures with AWS and Azure native resources, policies, and logging services.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages for automation and workflow development.
  • Experience leading complex cloud tool integrations within federal environments.
  • This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.

Publishing Pay Range: $80.00 – $85.00 hourly
