Role Summary
A senior Azure Solutions Architect role focused on cloud infrastructure design, modernization, and migration within a large federal enterprise environment. The position involves leading the development of scalable, secure, and compliant multi-cloud solutions, supporting federal clients through complex IT transformation projects. The role requires extensive expertise in Azure architecture and close collaboration with technical teams to implement best practices for cloud adoption and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Lead cloud migration strategies, including application modernization and infrastructure as code deployment.
  • Develop and oversee proof of concept (POC) and minimum viable product (MVP) initiatives to validate cloud architectures.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and security governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with mission and business objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, providing technical decision support and guidance on cloud strategies.
  • Ensure cloud security standards are maintained, including identity management, monitoring, and governance.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal compliance requirements such as FedRAMP, RMF, and ATO/cATO processes.
  • Provide leadership and technical mentorship to team members across multiple delivery streams.
  • Develop roadmaps and documentation to support long-term cloud adoption and operational resilience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and delivery in enterprise environments.
  • 8+ years of experience in 2 or more of these domains: core infrastructure, application development, data & analytics, or low/no code solutions within cloud contexts.
  • Strong expertise in Azure services, including Azure DevOps, Azure SQL/Managed Instance, Azure App Service/Web Apps, and Azure networking.
  • Experience with identity management, security governance, and monitoring in Azure.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and formulate cloud strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal agencies and familiarity with FedRAMP, RMF, and ATO/cATO frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Availability to work remotely with reliable internet access.

Publishing Pay Range: $95.00 -$105.00 hourly

This position offers a fully remote work arrangement, allowing the candidate to operate from an approved remote location.
