Role Summary
This position requires an experienced DevOps Engineer or Architect to support the development, deployment, and automation of complex software projects. The role involves integrating DevSecOps tools within agile teams to ensure seamless continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. The individual will collaborate closely with multiple technical teams, documentation efforts, and automation standards development to enhance operational efficiency and security.
Responsibilities
- Integrate DevSecOps tools into agile teams to facilitate continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows.
- Represent the DevOps team to ensure consistent messaging and coordination across all phases of complex development projects, including managing dependencies and resolving blockers.
- Develop and support CI/CD solutions for large enterprise environments as an individual contributor.
- Document system designs, environment configurations, and updates in Jira and/or Confluence to maintain clear records and facilitate team communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, self-organizing teams to troubleshoot IT issues and implement solutions aligned with project requirements.
- Work with management, internal teams, and external partners on aspects related to CI/CD and system integrations.
- Support automation development standards, guidelines, and reference documentation through ongoing collaboration.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of automation standards and practices within the organization.
- Implement infrastructure as code using frameworks such as Terraform and manage cloud services, with an emphasis on AWS infrastructure and containerization.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on emerging technologies and provide technical guidance related to DevSecOps strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT industry, with proven expertise as a DevOps Engineer or Architect.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies including Gitlab (and Gitlab Runners), Jenkins, Ansible, Concourse, CircleCI, etc.
- Strong proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Python, Java, or Ruby.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks, particularly Terraform.
- Deep understanding of AWS cloud offerings, including containerization and related services.
- Proven experience implementing automation strategies within agile and lean environments.
- Ability to document solutions clearly using Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solution Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer are mandatory.
Publishing Pay Range: $83.00 – $87.00 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
