Role Summary

This position involves performing intermediate-level dispatching tasks within a dynamic operations team. The role requires effective communication with internal and external customers, prioritizing and managing field operations workloads, and utilizing multiple technology platforms to ensure efficient service delivery. The successful candidate will support scheduling, coordinate emergency response activities, and provide exceptional customer service to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch, evaluate, and re-allocate field operations resources to optimize workload management.
  • Communicate via phone, email, and electronic messaging with customers, field teams, and internal departments.
  • Prioritize and schedule work assignments, ensuring timely completion and resource availability.
  • Utilize multiple technology platforms including Customer Information System (Banner), Dispatch Software (PragmaCAD), SharePoint, Maximo, Everbridge, and Microsoft Teams to perform daily tasks.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding account information, service requests, emergency locates, and city inspections.
  • Support emergency notification procedures and assist in rescheduling uncompleted orders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within applicable systems for all dispatch and customer interactions.
  • Perform in-person and remote assistance to customers and employees, including handling urgent situations.
  • Operate communication devices and electronic work management tools efficiently during scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • React swiftly to emergency situations to prevent injuries and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in dispatching, customer service, or related operations role.
  • Knowledge of scheduling principles, work prioritization, and resource management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in the use of office equipment, computers, and relevant software applications.
  • Ability to interpret maps, customer account data, and emergency procedures.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and rotating schedules.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and travel within office facilities as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate emergency notification systems and electronic work management tools.
  • Capacities for quick decision-making, reacting to emergencies, and maintaining high attention to detail.

Publishing Pay Range: $18.00 – $21.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
