Role Summary
A senior-level Federal Infrastructure Delivery Architect is responsible for leading onsite teams in the assessment, design, and implementation of large-scale inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) infrastructure projects within secure federal environments. This role requires extensive technical expertise in telecommunications infrastructure, as well as strong leadership skills to manage field operations and ensure compliance with federal security protocols and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onsite leader for telecommunications infrastructure projects, directing field teams and coordinating with subcontractors to meet project objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive site surveys to assess existing infrastructure, document conditions, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Design and engineer robust ISP and OSP solutions, including fiber optic, copper backbone, CAT6/6A structured cabling, and network enclosures.
  • Manage the transition from site survey and design phases to implementation, ensuring seamless integration of findings into project execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical, logistical, and security-related issues on-site, leading remediation efforts as needed.
  • Ensure all project activities strictly adhere to OSHA, BICSI, TIA/EIA, and federal/military standards, maintaining proper documentation and field logs.
  • Facilitate clear communication and collaboration among customers, project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee project delivery from initiation through completion, monitoring milestones, budgets, and security compliance.
  • Maintain detailed records of site assessments, engineering plans, and progress reports, including classified documentation when applicable.
  • Enforce safety and quality standards, conducting on-site quality assurance and compliance checks throughout project life cycles.

Qualifications

  • This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required. (Active, verifiable Top Secret / SCI security clearance; CI Polygraph eligibility).
  • 7–10 years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure, with a focus on OSP/ISP design, deployment, and structured cabling projects.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical leadership, project architect, or senior role overseeing large infrastructure initiatives.
  • Proven expertise conducting site surveys, documenting existing conditions, and proposing infrastructure upgrade solutions.
  • Extensive experience working within secure federal, DoD, or classified environments, including SCIFs and data centers.
  • Proficiency in fiber optic technologies (single-mode, multi-mode, splicing, testing), civil engineering for trenching, boring, and aerial installs, as well as ISP enclosures and structured cabling.
  • Skilled in interpreting engineering diagrams, GIS maps, construction drawings, and splicing matrices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work on-site at federal facilities and adhere to strict security and safety protocols.

Publishing Pay Range: $160,000.00 – $200,000.00 USD Annually
