Role Summary
This position is responsible for analyzing and assessing the financial health of an organization to support sound decision-making and strategic planning. The role involves reviewing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights for improving fiscal performance. It is a mid-level position requiring strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles, with a focus on enhancing financial processes and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and present financial data to management.
- Prepare financial reports, projections, and dashboards based on data analysis.
- Evaluate current and historical financial information to identify trends and variances.
- Provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial efficiency.
- Track financial performance by comparing results with forecasts and budgets.
- Establish benchmarks for financial processes and reporting standards.
- Reconcile transactions and correct discrepancies within financial systems.
- Assist in preparing the organization’s annual budget.
- Support the development of financial reporting documentation for state and federal agencies.
- Collaborate with the grants department to review budgets and ensure proper documentation for reporting and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles.
- Proven experience with financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and governmental accounting standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Publishing Pay Range: $35.00 – $40.00 hourly
Location Requirements: This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
