Role Summary
A senior-level Lead Development Engineer responsible for guiding complex software development projects, establishing technical strategy, and mentoring a high-performing engineering team. The role involves hands-on architecture design, coding, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, data-driven applications within a modern technology environment. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to translate business needs into innovative technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture design and oversee the development of complex software solutions.
- Set engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor development team members.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define and deliver features aligned with business objectives.
- Build scalable applications utilizing modern programming languages and frameworks such as Python, C++, and JavaScript/React.
- Conduct unit and integration testing; maintain and enhance existing codebases.
- Troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance, and implement system improvements.
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation for ongoing projects and systems.
- Research emerging technologies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to project planning, including timelines, resource allocation, and technical estimates.
- Ensure all software developments adhere to security, compliance, and data protection standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or comparable experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain planning, operations technology, or enterprise systems such as demand planning, inventory optimization, production scheduling, or S&OP.
- Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry platforms (Ontology, Code Repositories, Workshops, Pipelines) or building data-driven applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, JavaScript/React, and SQL for data transformation, application logic, front-end development, and large-scale data modeling.
- Demonstrated expertise across multiple programming languages and frameworks.
- Solid data engineering skills and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Experience with DevOps practices, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to mentor teams, drive technological change, and align development efforts with strategic organizational goals.
- Availability to work on-site as required.
Publishing Pay Range: $65.00 – $70.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
