Role Summary

This position involves leading end-to-end deployment planning and execution for complex SD-Access Fabric network migrations. The role requires technical expertise in network architecture, migration strategies, and automation to ensure smooth implementation, validation, and stabilization of network infrastructure. It is suited for a seasoned networking professional with extensive experience in large-scale enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive deployment plans and strategies for SD-Access Fabric replacement projects, including phased IPv4-to-IPv6 migration approaches.
  • Translate high-level network designs into detailed, actionable low-level deployment plans that align with client requirements.
  • Create and refine standardized configuration templates for SD-Access Fabric, routing protocols, segmentation, QoS, and application-aware routing.
  • Develop and execute thorough runbooks and method of procedure (MOP) documents for network migration, including addressing changes and deployment steps.
  • Design scalable, repeatable site deployment models and validation criteria to measure success during each phase of the deployment.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks before deployment activities and define validation, rollback, and verification procedures.
  • Support automation efforts through scripting, templating, and zero-touch provisioning to streamline deployment processes.
  • Provide real-time remote support during site cutovers, review deployment feedback, and refine processes accordingly.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and develop remediation strategies.
  • Review and approve change requests, ensuring compliance with security standards and enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of enterprise networking experience, including a strong background in SD-Access Fabric architecture.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with SD-Access deployment, site migration, and network automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Proven track record supporting large-scale multi-site rollout projects with 50+ locations.
  • Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, and network segmentation policies.
  • Experience planning and executing IPv6 migration strategies in production environments.
  • Strong technical documentation and configuration management skills.
  • Ability to support post-migration stabilization, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Certifications such as CCNP R&S or equivalent are preferred.
  • Must have existing legal work authorization to work in the designated location.
