Role Summary
This technical support role involves monitoring and troubleshooting various applications and infrastructure systems to ensure optimal performance and security. The position requires collaboration with multiple internal teams and leadership to resolve issues promptly. It offers an opportunity to work remotely in a dynamic environment supporting both physical and virtual infrastructure technologies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor applications such as AppWorx, Orion, Email, and other relevant systems to identify and address issues.
- Troubleshoot alerts and system discrepancies, escalating as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with subject matter experts, application teams, infrastructure teams, and leadership through email and telephone.
- Collaborate across different audience groups to facilitate issue resolution and system improvements.
- Maintain documentation, reports, and system operating procedures related to system monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Support event monitoring, logging, and data collection activities using tools like Orion and Splunk.
- Manage Active Directory permissions, group policies, and hierarchy structures.
- Assist with IP networking and security administration activities.
- Participate in training sessions to gain proficiency with organizational systems and protocols.
- Perform system evaluations to diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues accurately.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of current infrastructure technologies, including physical and virtual environments.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 11, Windows Server, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of event monitoring, logging, and data collection techniques (e.g., Orion, Splunk).
- Knowledge of Active Directory, permission hierarchy, and group policy management.
- Ability to research and troubleshoot issues using knowledgebases and online resources.
- Experience or training in IP networking and security administration.
- Demonstrated technical problem-solving skills with the ability to perform systems evaluations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and documentation purposes.
- Availability to work during scheduled shifts on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with training scheduled 8:00 am to 5:00 pm until completion.
Publishing Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
