Role Summary
A senior-level Design Engineer position focusing on the development and deployment of advanced radio communication systems for large-scale federal infrastructure projects. This role involves leading systems engineering activities, including site surveys, network configuration, and detailed engineering package creation. The engineer will interface with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of radio network equipment across multiple sites, emphasizing safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale radio network planning activities, including site survey execution, network configuration, and cable routing design.
  • Create comprehensive site installation engineering packages, including detailed drawings, bill of materials (BOM), installation procedures, and schematics.
  • Develop system design packages supporting site preparation, procurement, and installation processes.
  • Perform requirements definition, system decomposition, and develop system architecture for radio communication deployments.
  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to support system modeling and documentation efforts.
  • Conduct trade-off analyses to inform engineering decisions and optimize system designs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams and junior engineers throughout project lifecycle phases.
  • Facilitate technical discussions, design reviews, and working groups involving cross-disciplinary stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with field engineering, deployment teams, and program management to ensure design alignment with operational goals and standards.
  • Ensure all engineering work adheres to program standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or higher; 10+ years of experience with an Associate’s degree.
  • This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required 
  • Proven experience in systems engineering, including requirements definition, system decomposition, and architecture development.
  • Strong understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and principles, such as SysML and UML.
  • Experience in radio communication systems, telecommunications infrastructure, or related technical deployments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, provide mentorship, and facilitate engineering discussions.
  • Proficiency with engineering design tools, including CAD software.
  • Familiarity with site survey analysis, site engineering documentation, and large federal or aviation program deployments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience supporting technical reviews and working group discussions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, managing multiple tasks and stakeholders.

Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 – $68.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site in Dallas Texas.
