Role Summary
A remote Network Administrator position responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and security. The role involves overseeing network systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security protocols within a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in network management, security, and monitoring to support critical IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage, and support network devices including routers and switches.
  • Monitor network performance using tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and security issues promptly.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols to protect network infrastructure.
  • Manage VLANs, routing, and switching protocols like BGP and OSPF.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize network performance and reliability.
  • Support the deployment of network upgrades and new systems.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations, incidents, and procedures.
  • Adhere to security policies and procedures ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support 24/7 operational needs.

Qualifications

  • This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Security+ certification required.
  • Minimum of # years of experience in network administration or related roles.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices such as routers and switches.
  • Strong understanding of network security protocols and best practices.
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Availability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including shift work.
  • Networking certifications such as Network+, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are required.

Publishing Pay Range: $33.00 – $38.00 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
