Role Summary
This position involves composing, editing, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for security products within networking environments. The role requires close collaboration with engineering and product teams to produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly content. Candidates should possess a solid background in technical writing, particularly in security and networking domains, with the ability to interpret complex technical data for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed end-user documentation for security networking products.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to gather technical information.
  • Create installation guides, release notes, and user-focused content.
  • Organize and present complex technical information in a clear, concise, and accessible manner for various user personas.
  • Edit and update existing documentation to incorporate product updates and new features.
  • Follow established standards and templates for technical writing and documentation processes.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with project requirements and quality standards.
  • Adapt content to be AI-ready, facilitating quick and easy access to information for end users.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Support continuous improvement of technical content and documentation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant education, training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience (minimum 4 years preferred) in independently writing and owning security documentation for networking products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools such as Oxygen XML, Markdown, or similar.
  • Experience using project management and issue-tracking platforms like Atlassian Jira.
  • Experience working within cross-functional technical teams.
  • Familiarity with content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Publishing Pay Range: $26.00 – $28.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
