Role Summary
This position supports the development and execution of comprehensive category strategies designed to maximize value, manage procurement risks, and improve sourcing outcomes. The role partners with key stakeholders to execute sourcing initiatives, support contract management, identify cost-saving opportunities, and contribute to overall procurement effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Apply category and market insights to support effective sourcing strategies.
- Develop and implement category plans and execute sourcing events.
- Support the development and maintenance of category strategies, processes, and procurement resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with functional stakeholders to support procurement initiatives.
- Promote consistent adoption of procurement policies, practices, and processes across category teams.
- Identify and manage category-level risks and contribute to complex procurement initiatives.
- Develop and support cost reduction initiatives and track performance against established key performance indicators.
- Support commercial contract management for centrally managed categories.
- Participate in procurement process improvements and strategic planning activities.
- Provide analysis and insights to optimize procurement outcomes and maximize value.
Qualifications
- Relevant education, training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, category management, sourcing, or a related area.
- Experience with responsible and sustainable procurement practices.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and manage commercial risks across multiple categories.
- Experience leading large or complex sourcing initiatives.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and relevant procurement tools.
- Ability to analyze key performance indicators, market conditions, and sourcing opportunities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work in an on-site environment.
Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 – $40.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
