Role Summary
This on-site Asset Management Assistant provides essential support throughout the hardware asset lifecycle for a federal contract. The role involves managing IT hardware inventories, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and facilitating efficient asset tracking and reporting. It requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize asset management processes, enhance accuracy, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily management and monitoring of hardware assets within the client environment, including physical handling, planning, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware assets and ensure adherence to standardized processes.
- Develop and refine reporting metrics, analyze trends, and generate performance indicators to support resource planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with the IT Asset Manager to identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation within ServiceNow.
- Support the implementation and evolution of asset management policies, procedures, and processes to ensure effective tracking of IT assets, license renewals, and end-of-life management.
- Conduct regular audits and inventory assessments to verify asset data accuracy and compliance.
- Manage stockrooms and oversee movement of network and user equipment as needed.
- Assist in managing hardware inventory within ServiceNow, including planning, monitoring, and recording.
- Help prepare and ship equipment, organize storage rooms, and support asset lifecycle activities.
- Support infrastructure projects and service requests by coordinating with engineering teams and the Service Desk.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of IT asset management experience, or 4 years with a Bachelor's degree, or 2 years with a Master’s degree.
- Proven experience with IT Asset Management, Configuration Management, IT Service Management, and ServiceNow reporting and dashboards.
- Demonstrated ability to support flexible schedules to meet Service Desk and engineering needs.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and assist with storage, shipping, and receiving processes.
- Experience conducting asset inventories, audits, and process improvements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Certifications such as ServiceNow CSA, ServiceNow Asset Management courses, CIS, IAITAM certifications (CITAM, CAMP), or IAM certification are preferred.
Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 – $35.00 Hourly
This is a fully onsite role and can be performed from an approved location.
