Role Summary
This role involves managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure projects, with a focus on disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational readiness. The position requires coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful planning, execution, and reporting of complex technical initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring structured project management expertise to support continuous improvement of the organization’s resiliency programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical projects from initiation through implementation, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and go-live activities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, monitor progress, and adjust resources and priorities to meet objectives.
  • Coordinate across infrastructure teams managing servers, databases, virtualization, and network operations to ensure project alignment.
  • Support governance and process development, including standards, checklists, and controls within project execution.
  • Facilitate disaster recovery testing, certification tracking, and the development of recovery playbooks in collaboration with application owners and technical teams.
  • Monitor project risks, dependencies, and budgets, providing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Maintain stakeholder communication through dashboards, metrics, and regular status reporting for executive visibility.
  • Foster collaboration across IT, security, architecture, and business units to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management methodologies and reporting processes.
  • Capture lessons learned and promote automation efforts within the disaster recovery and business continuity programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years managing multiple, complex IT projects.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams and coordinating infrastructure projects (servers, databases, virtualization, networks).
  • Strong governance, process development, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with disaster recovery testing, business continuity planning, and infrastructure operational readiness.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Azure DevOps, and Visio.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing shifting priorities.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be available for full-time employment in Houston, TX.

Publishing Pay Range: $90.00 – $95.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
