Role Summary
This role involves overseeing the inspection of raw materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process. The position requires providing technical guidance to production staff and supporting the quality department in maintaining inspection and testing protocols. It is suited for individuals with a solid background in quality control, non-destructive testing, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of raw materials and finished goods
  • Perform and document Magnetic Testing, Dye Penetrant Testing, and CR Film Interpretation
  • Establish non-conformity reports and quarantine non-conforming products to prevent further processing
  • Maintain databases, reports, and records supporting quality assurance and control activities
  • Ensure tools and instruments are compliant with ISO procedures and QA/QC standards
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager to improve processes, equipment, and tools
  • Provide technical assistance to manufacturing teams in defect detection, acceptance, and rejection procedures
  • Archive technical data, codes, and standards to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Support non-destructive testing (NDT) activities and ensure certification requirements are met
  • Assist in continuous improvement efforts regarding inspection techniques and equipment

Qualifications

  • Experience in quality control, inspection, or related manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of welding, NDE methods, and inspection standards is highly advantageous
  • Ability to perform magnetic testing, dye penetrant testing, and interpret CR film results
  • Familiarity with machine design, machining, drawings, and QC activities
  • Willingness to learn new technical tools such as 3D arm, PMI, and OES devices
  • Ability to obtain MT, PT, and RFI certifications
  • Strong organizational skills with flexibility and stress resistance
  • Reliable, accurate, and detail-oriented
  • Open to working in a hybrid schedule, with time split between remote and on-site
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Publishing Pay Range: $18.00 – $24.00 Hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
