Role Summary
This contract Logistics Analyst role supports the logistics strategy by coordinating transportation of equipment and materials for capital projects and field operations. The position facilitates and expedites the flow of freight to and from multiple locations while arranging storage of deliverable goods when needed. Responsibilities include shipment planning, carrier coordination, regulatory compliance, and maintaining accurate logistics documentation. The role works closely with suppliers, internal project teams, and third-party logistics partners to support on-time project execution.
Responsibilities
- Arrange and coordinate transportation and expediting services for capital projects, field engineering, operations, and maintenance execution
- Determine shipment methods using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
- Ensure compliance with TSA, DOT, and Customs regulations and prepare required paperwork for delay-free forwarding
- Consult with material and equipment suppliers to confirm correct freight weight and dimensions
- Select carriers, negotiate rates and contracts, and verify carrier insurance and contractual obligations
- Coordinate with carriers and internal project teams throughout the full shipment lifecycle, from selection to completion
- Manage communications between third-party logistics vendors, carriers, project teams, and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
- Coordinate deliveries with suppliers and job sites, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain all applicable shipment files and documentation with accuracy and completeness
- Provide timely updates on project status and monitor vendor/carrier performance
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent (required)
- 1–6 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation coordination, or a related field
- Prior experience with freight forwarding and logistics preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional coordination
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated negotiating skills to resolve problems and manage carrier relationships
- Ability to follow production and fabrication schedule flow and understand contract/procurement obligations
- Team-oriented with the ability to organize time and tasks effectively
- Self-motivated with strong ownership of job tasks and project requirements
Publishing Pay Range: $32.00 – $33.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
