Oracle Application Support Analyst
Role Summary
Provide functional and limited technical application support for Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) on-premise release 12.2.10, supporting customizations and extensions across Finance and Oracle Projects. This contract role operates with minimal supervision and requires strong customer-facing communication, investigation, and problem-solving skills. The Systems Analyst will support business users, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in change management to ensure reliable service delivery and customer satisfaction. Successful performance includes diagnosing root causes, generating SQL-based analysis and reports, and validating fixes through user acceptance testing.
Responsibilities
- Provide application functional and limited technical support for Oracle EBS modules in Finance (AR, AP, GL, CM, FA, iExpense, iSupplier) and Projects (Costing, Billing, Accounting)
- Troubleshoot reported issues, identify underlying root causes, and recommend workarounds and/or corrective actions
- Analyze data using diagnostics scripts, SQL, and other query tools to determine constraints, integrity issues, and impact scope
- Generate ad hoc reports to support issue validation, root cause analysis, and determination of issue magnitude
- Create and apply data correction scripts to resolve defects caused by inconsistent data state
- Conduct conference room pilots and support user acceptance testing for defect fixes, features, and system improvements
- Ensure acceptance criteria is met without significant impediments and coordinate validation with business stakeholders and technical teams
- Complete required Change Management tasks and relevant SOX control requirements (if applicable)
- Apply incident management practices by documenting issues, workarounds, and error recovery steps in operational tracking tools (e.g., Helix)
- Program and review changes to address root causes, including coordinating regression scenarios and promoting program units through UAT and production
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and willing to work under a contract arrangement with potential to convert to a direct hire employee.
- At least a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university with an Accounting major, or 5 years of related industry experience
- 5–7 years of experience working and supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite modules, preferably Finance and/or Oracle Projects
- Strong understanding of dataflow processes between subledger applications and General Ledger
- 3+ years of SQL and PL/SQL experience
- Knowledge of Oracle EBS data model and architecture for Finance and Projects domains
- Ability to review and understand programming logic constructs used in Workflow, Oracle APEX, and BI Publisher reports to assess current system state
- 3+ years of programming experience in Oracle APEX preferred
- Experience in a multi-developer team environment and preferred familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Ability to articulate application behavior and system states in business-friendly language; strong customer success mindset
Publishing Pay Range: $80.00 – $85.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
