Role Summary
A remote Service Delivery Manager is required to oversee cloud operations and lead a technical team supporting HUD Data Center Services. This role combines leadership responsibilities with technical expertise, focusing on ensuring system performance, reliability, and security across Azure and AWS cloud environments. The successful candidate will drive automation initiatives, optimize service delivery, and provide strategic guidance on cloud architecture and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 8–10 engineers supporting cloud, monitoring, and application services.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert across Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms, providing guidance on architecture and operational best practices.
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure, automation, tools, and monitoring functions to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain system reliability, performance, and scalability within enterprise environments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and automation.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align cloud initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Support onboarding, mentoring, and professional development of team members.
  • Provide strategic input on future cloud architecture and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry standards in cloud service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement of monitoring and observability tools to enhance system visibility.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing technical teams of 8 or more members.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Experience overseeing cloud operations, monitoring, and automation frameworks.
  • Background in service delivery, infrastructure management, or platform engineering.
  • Ability to operate both as a technical contributor and a people leader.
  • Experience working in federal, government, or highly regulated environments preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Availability to support a fully remote work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Prior experience supporting HUD or similar federal programs is a plus.

Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 – $65.00 USD Hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
