Role Summary
A Threat Implementation Engineer is responsible for supporting the deployment and lifecycle management of cybersecurity threat solutions within large-scale or financial enterprise environments. This role involves technical planning, risk mitigation, and project execution to ensure secure network implementation without impacting operational continuity. The position requires a proactive individual with strong engineering expertise and effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support the technical planning, logistics, and execution of cybersecurity release and deployment projects for security systems.
- Manage hardware and software refresh initiatives to mitigate end-of-life equipment and non-permitted technologies.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering and Security Architecture teams to facilitate knowledge sharing and technology adoption.
- Ensure compliance with asset tracking, database updates, inventory management, and records retention processes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Understand and apply best practices related to the organization’s network infrastructure and risk management protocols.
- Lead risk mitigation, deployment sequencing, and technical planning for complex threat platform implementations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal operation of threat solutions.
- Maintain documentation, update configuration management systems, and support continuous process improvements.
- Participate in on-call or after-hours activities as required for change support and risk mitigation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with enterprise threat solutions in large-scale or financial organizations.
- Deep technical knowledge of threat platforms such as SkyHigh Secure Web Gateway, F5 SSL, Trellix, FireEye, Blue Coat ProxySG, or similar systems.
- Proven experience in building, deploying, and optimizing threat infrastructure hardware and software.
- Strong understanding of DMZ networking, secure network segmentation, and Cisco routing and switching.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical planning, deployment sequencing, and risk mitigation efforts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Ability to follow established processes with meticulous attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to volunteer for high-impact tasks, own deliverables, and escalate risks proactively.
- Flexibility to support night and weekend work as needed to support change activities.
Publishing Pay Range: $54.00 – $56.00 Hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
